Frequently asked questions
Established & Trusted – With 30+ years of experience, Sunspeed has delivered thousands of specialist data centre and IT projects. We support many of the UK’s Data Centres, Large Service Integrators and IT Resellers and are trusted by organisations small and large across both the private and public sectors.
Safe & Secure – At Sunspeed, our experienced and security cleared engineers can coordinate all your logistical needs as well as deliver the technical requirements for any server relocation, from small moves to large data centre projects.
Project Coordination – No matter the size or scope, a dedicated project coordinator is assigned to all projects. As the main point of contact whilst a project is in delivery, the project coordinator is responsible for coordinating site surveys, scheduling, briefing the engineering teams and organising the logistics.
Undertaking a complex data centre project may require an experienced programme delivery manager, project manager, or solutions architect on your team to de-risk the project. Our professional services team is here to support customers at every point in their data centre project lifecycle. We can own every component of the project, managing stakeholders and suppliers, reviewing and creating infrastructure designs, and delivering an end-to-end managed service.
Not always – Some of our customers have sufficient, experienced internal resources that can be allocated to the project. This is not always the case as even with experienced staff to support the project, they often they still have a day job and cannot be reprioritised. We provide the peace of mind to our customers that a data centre project can be fully resourced with the right people at the right time.
Yes – We work with our customers to assess their needs before any engagement, and a project resource profile is then agreed upon to suit the customer. For large projects, a full-time delivery team may be required. For smaller projects, quite often having some expertise to join a call, review a design or troubleshoot a problem, is all that’s required for peace of mind. Our approach can be flexible to suit your needs.
