Established in 1987 by Howard Jermy, when he recognised a gap in the market for transporting high value IT equipment, Sunspeed is now recognised as an established leader in computer relocations, and we are proud to deliver some of the most complex data centre migration projects in the world.
Whilst operating as a freight company operating out of the Heathrow area, Sunspeed was asked to relocate computer equipment by Sun Microsystems. From that small beginning, Sunspeed were quickly recognised for going the extra-mile and the relationship started to build. Whilst on-site, Sunspeed would often be asked by end-users if it was possible to move other equipment and things soon progressed into a thriving business managing multiple server moves and large scale IT migrations.
Today, Sunspeed has grown into a technical solutions company. Physical relocation continues to be at the core of what we do, however we now have the capabilities to deliver complete end-to-end migration solutions which include auditing, technical project management, cabling, and asset disposal.

Pre-patch involves cabling the destination rack ahead of a relocation. This means that come relocation day, the servers can be connected and dressed in quickly and efficiently, ultimately allowing organisations to minimise their down-time. Other benefits of pre-patching the environment also include the ability to forecast and minimise potential issues long before they happen, as well as generating rich information which can be used when planning future projects and technical refresh activities.
