Managed Data Destruction is a solution designed to provide regular and reliable destruction of your data-bearing assets on a flexible rate-card basis.
We provide you with a secure on-site storage solution for HDDs and SSDs. Designed to fit within a standard data centre floor tile, our metal containers can be easily used by your on-premise staff, while a keylock system ensure only authorized parties can access it.
Performed on a scheduled basis, Sunspeed will destroy your equipment to your preferred approach: (1) a specialist shred-truck will dispose of your equipment on-site; (2) equipment will be retrieved to Sunspeed’s Asset Disposal facility for shredding. Items can be shredded to 20mm, 6mm and 2mm.
Our process is fully certificated. All equipment will be compiled into an Itemised Asset Inventory for approval, once equipment has been destroyed, a Certificate of Data Destruction will be issued to confirm your data has been destroyed.
Sunspeed is fully ISO27001 & 9001 accredited, and holds a Waste Carriers Licence – your equipment is in the right hands.

Managed Data Destruction is a service designed for those who has the frequent to semi-frequent need to dispose of HDD/SSDs in a safe and secure manner. Subscriptions start at 4 collections per year, and can be scaled up to suit your requirements.
If you don’t have regular requirements, we can also manage your requirements. Sunspeed also provides Asset Disposal on a project basis. The project approach also enables us to manage the disposal of different categories of IT equipment, from Networking and Storage equipment, through to end-user IT, AV systems and even down to peripherals.
Is Managed Data Destruction a secure service?
Yes! Managed Data Destruction is designed with security as a priority. Our On-site Storage Containers are inaccessible other than through an opening for the depositing of HDD/SSDs and a locked metal door with limited issue keys. You can leave the keys with us, or hold the only set yourself.
We retrieve equipment using Specialist Computer-Spec Hard-Sided vehicles, operated by Security Cleared Engineers.
Sunspeed can shred equipment on-site down to 2mm using our Shred Truck fitted with Internal and External CCTV.
Is the Data Destruction certified?
Managed Data Destruction is a fully certified service:
- Customers will be issued both Collection & Delivery notes; An Itemised Asset Inventory will be created prior to disposal, allowing you to verify the correct devices are being disposed of
- A Waste Note on retrieval of the devices, in accordance with our Waste Carriers Licence
- Following disposal, a Certificate of Data Destruction (CoDD) will be issued.
- Sunspeed are also ISO27001/9001 certified, so you can be sure your information is being handled appropriately.
