Sunspeed is a physical IT services company. Based in Farnborough and Bracknell, we specialise in delivering IT Engineering, IT Relocation, Technical Logistics and Asset Disposal projects.

We are currently seeking an experienced HGV driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, an appetite for learning new skills and will have strong communication and customer service skills.

Whilst driving Heavy Goods Vehicles is an important part of our operational work, we focus on developing ‘engineering’ skills to enable all staff to operate specialist equipment and physically de/re rack IT hardware. Unlike other ‘logistics’ firms, Sunspeed are able to pack, deliver, offload, position and install / uninstall technical equipment on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Driving and operating our fleet of vehicles.
• Delivering new equipment to Data Centre and office locations across the UK.
• Installing and removing server equipment from data centre environments (Previous experience preferred, but is not essential as training will be provided).
• Operating specialist equipment for ‘white-glove’ requirements – such as tipping trolleys, stair walkers and specialist ‘IT’ lifting equipment. (Previous experience preferred, but is not essential as training will be provided).
• Supporting our warehouse teams with loading and unloading as well as the upkeep of vehicles.

Experience:

• HGV Class 2 with category C+E driving licence.
• Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles including 3.5T, 7.5T, 18T & 26T.
• A basic knowledge of IT server hardware equipment – preferred but not essential.
• A basic knowledge of ‘Data Centres’ – preferred but not essential.
