Background
Sunspeed was engaged by a technology services provider to support the deployment of workplace technology across a newly fitted office environment in Canary Wharf, London.
The project required the coordinated delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of end user equipment across two floors, creating more than 400 fully operational workstations within a compressed programme schedule.

The Challenge
he client was preparing a large scale office space for occupation and required hundreds of workstations to be deployed consistently, efficiently and with minimal disruption to other site activities.
The deployment covered:
- 424 workstation positions across two floors
- 424 monitors
- 424 keyboards and mice
- 424 Cat6A workstation connectivity cables
- Multiple inbound deliveries and waste removal cycles throughout the programme
The project also presented several logistical challenges. Equipment had to be staged, transported and distributed throughout an active commercial building while maintaining safe working practices, efficient material flow and clear working areas.
In addition, existing structured cabling infrastructure within the building was known to be inconsistent, requiring careful scope definition to ensure workstation deployment remained on programme.
End-to-end
Deployment solution.
The Solution
Sunspeed delivered a fully managed deployment service, providing project coordination, logistics management and on site engineering resources throughout the programme.
Working from a centrally coordinated deployment plan, the team:
- Received and securely managed equipment prior to deployment
- Delivered hardware to site in line with programme milestones
- Distributed equipment across floors three and four
- Installed monitor arms and monitors at each workstation
- Connected keyboards, mice and workstation cabling
- Patched each desk position to floor box connectivity
- Performed initial operational testing
- Applied cable management standards across all workstations
- Managed packaging removal and waste throughout the project
To maintain programme efficiency, Sunspeed established dedicated staging and pallet management areas within the building and coordinated multiple delivery and collection activities across the deployment period.
A four engineer team worked through a planned programme, completing installations in a structured desk by desk sequence to ensure consistency and quality across all 424 positions.
The Outcome
The project delivered a fully prepared workplace environment ready for user occupation, providing hundreds of operational workstation positions within the agreed deployment window.
By combining logistics expertise, project coordination and deployment engineering services, Sunspeed enabled the client to accelerate workplace readiness and support a smooth transition into the new office environment.
