The background.
A Sunspeed reseller partner had won a large-scale, boots-on-the-ground deployment programme for a central government customer, rolling out end-user IT equipment supplied through distributor TD SYNNEX at a rate of approximately 500 devices per week. This included managing JML refresh responsibilities and configuration.
The programme had already been priced and committed to before the partner had secured the deployment resource needed to deliver it, leaving a resourcing gap that had to be closed quickly and without compromising the margin already built into the contract.
500x
Devices per week.
The challenge.
With delivery already committed, the partner needed to identify and mobilise deployment engineers capable of working at volume and pace, without the time or budget flexibility to run an extended sourcing process.
Key delivery requirements included:
- Sourcing deployment resource capable of rolling out approximately 500 devices per week
- Working within a pricing structure that had been fixed before resourcing was secured, leaving little margin for error
- Selecting engineers with the right skill set to deploy end-user equipment accurately and consistently at scale for a central government customer
- Mobilising quickly enough to keep the wider programme on track
The core challenge was closing a critical resourcing gap at speed and within a tight cost envelope, without putting delivery quality or contract margin at risk.

Days resource support.
Our solution.
Sunspeed was engaged through the partner's existing relationship with TD SYNNEX, giving the partner rapid access to vetted, expert deployment resource without having to run a fresh sourcing exercise from scratch.
Sunspeed worked with the partner to understand the scale and nature of the rollout, then provided the deployment engineers required to deliver it, along with a pricing schedule structured to fit within the budget already committed to the end customer. This included giving the partner the information needed to select the resource best suited to the specific demands of the task.
By operating through the established distribution relationship, Sunspeed was able to respond quickly to the requirement, supplying resource that could be mobilised without delay as the programme moved into delivery.
The outcome.
By supplying the right resource against a workable pricing structure, Sunspeed enabled the partner to close its resourcing gap without renegotiating the terms already agreed with its end customer.
For the partner, this meant:
- A resourcing gap closed quickly enough to keep a committed government programme on schedule
- Deployment resource supplied within the budget already priced into the contract, protecting margin
- Access to expert, vetted engineers through an existing distribution relationship, removing the need for a separate sourcing process
- A scalable delivery capability able to support an ongoing rollout of around 500 devices per week
