A global technology organisation operating large-scale cloud computing platforms needed to relocate a portion of its infrastructure to support the expansion of its European cloud services. The existing environment was hosted in a data centre in Paris, France, and the target location was a new facility in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The migration needed to be completed with minimal disruption to live services, while maintaining the integrity of high-value compute hardware used for performance-intensive workloads.

The Requirement
The customer required a specialist data centre migration service capable of managing the physical relocation of critical infrastructure across borders. This included the secure decommissioning, transport, and recommissioning of server and network equipment.
In total, the scope covered 70 servers, 8 network switches, and all associated cabling. The migration was required to support the continued delivery of cloud computing services, placing a strong emphasis on accuracy and controlled execution.
