Background
The client was planning the closure of a data hall within their San Jose facility. This was due to upcoming significant upgrade works to the facility which required the migration of current tenants to different facilities operated by the client.

The Requirement
There was a large occupancy within the data hall of mixed colocation and dedicated-space clients. There were 17 x clients within the environment, all physically migrating their systems to alternate sites prior to upgrade works commencing. The total occupancy composed of apprx. 56 racks consuming around 650kw.
The window for migrations was set at 7 months and all tenants had to be moved out successfully within that time.
The destination locations included other sites in San Jose, CA, Dallas & San Antonio, TX, Chicago, IL, and New Jersey.

- Completing physical audits of customer environments, consolidating detail into infrastructure design documentation to enable migration planning.

- Decommission of existing environments.
- Secure transport of equipment in technical specification packing materials and vehicles.
- Rack, stack & patch of hardware.
- Handover support for physical troubleshooting during power-up and testing.
