Overview
Sunspeed were engaged by a customer to conduct the decommission and asset disposal of their Data Centre environment in Singapore, involving the secure and fully certified destruction of over 4,500 HDDs and the re-purposing of 300 x devices. Sunspeed provided on-site engineering support to conduct an audit and inventory of all equipment, and de/rack and remove it. Sunspeed deployed an On-site shred truck to securely dispose of all HDDs and created a Certificate of Data Destruction (CoDD). All non-data bearing devices were decommissioned and repurposed in line with the WEEE directive.

Equipment is recycled to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive, mitigating environmental impact.

Our disposals are all recorded and a Certificate of Data Destruction is issued to guarantee that yor data has been destroyed safely and securely.

Sunspeed can deploy a state-of-the-art shred-truck to conduct on-site disposal to comply with data security policy and governance. Many of our clients require additional security provision when disposing of sensitive data, and we are UKAS ISO27001/9001 accredited to ensure we can fulfill any data destruction requirements with piece of mind. Our shred truck can shred to 20mm, 6mm and 2mm, has built-in security features such as CCTV and has on-board IT systems for data-capture and reporting. We are able to utilize this on a project or managed-service basis. Our managed service option also allows us to deploy our bespoke secure storage container to your environment, and arrange regular collections on a MSA rate-card basis.
