Overview
Sunspeed was engaged by a data centre partner to conduct an end-user Data Centre Relocation into their Farnborough location. This was a challenging project with a primary objective of condensing the existing footprint down from 8 to 6 racks in order to initiate cost-savings. Sunspeed managed all Relocation activities on an end-to-end basis, including: conducting a thorough audit of the current environment, managed the Technical Design of the new environment, pre-cabled the new environment ahead of the Relocation, planned and scheduled on-the-day activities, managed the relocation on a de/re-rack basis, and provided engineers to Connect & Dress all cables and hand-over to client teams. In addition, Sunspeed provided professional services, with our consultants assisting with the major project governance and management responsibilities including stakeholder management, ownership of project delivery pans and ensuring project alignment to time, cost and scope requirements.

Technical Design
