Overview
Sunspeed was engaged by a channel customer to complete a Data Centre Audit across 2 x sites in the UK. Our team conducted a hardware and end-to-end cable trace audit, gathering the base data for the creation of patching schedules/cabling matrices and rack elevation diagrams. This provided the customer with detailed vision of their environments, and the essential documentation to plan infrastructure change projects. The end-customer also gained up-to-date data from which to maintain detailed records and ensure that their change management processes were robustly documented.

We undertook a detailed trace and recording of all in-rack cabling, the source/termination devices & ports, as-well as cable type and label reference.

Bespoke MS Excel based document recording all data and carrying tools allowing for seamless modification and design work.
Technical Project Management
Our in-house TPM team oversees the day-to-day project running as-well as attending client workshops to deliver audit findings.

The base data captured in the Audit and displayed in the Planner is is detailed and enables work on optimisation/relocation/consolidation projects.
