This month Sunspeed were tasked in moving the critical servers of a Northern Police force from their current computer room within the Force’s HQ, in Staffordshire to a new purpose- built facility ten miles away.
Once everything was secure within our air-ride vehicle, we made the trip to the new site. On our arrival we positioned all of the populated racks and the one empty rack as required and then proceeded to re-install all of the loose hardware back to their orignal positions. The was completed quickly and efficiently and our customer was very happy to be back up and running ahead of their Project Plan.
Later this was revealed to be a Pilot Move, and we have now been put in the 'line-up' to relocate the remaining forty populated racks due to happen in 2011.
With another successful relocation under our belt we didn’t receive a Police Caution, but a Police Recommendation!
