Our Customer:
Part of the Kohler group of companies, our client was Mira, famous for high quality, top of the range kitchen and bathroom products.
The Brief:
Mira were relocating their entire CAD (Computer-Aided Design) operation from Milan to Paris. It was imperative that the whole operation was completed within a 24 hour time window from arriving at the Milan site, to the final destination, due to the equipment being critical to their business operations. Any downtime would prove costly especially with regard to any design processes already in place and with customers waiting for design projects to be completed.
The Project:
Our client found Sunspeed via our website and after discussions and examples of other similar projects, Sunspeed won the contract. To undertake the entire relocation of their design studio they had to be sure they were choosing the right company and not risking any possible damage or extra downtime than was necessary. Our proven experience in specialist relocation, together with competitive pricing secured the contract. This dedicated service involved one of our larger custom-built vehicles with air-ride suspension and two drivers to travel first to Milan where a selection of large equipment including printers, plotters, scanners and terminals had to be packed into secure flight cases and crates. From there it was on to Paris to arrive later that same day to unload all the equipment and set in place ready for their technicians to install.
This was a fairly standard job for Sunspeed, something we undertake often - it's what we do. However, what makes it special is the fact that a European client requested us based on our reputation rather than select an unknown company local to them. Reputation can make or break a company and is something that Sunspeed are conscious of when fulfilling each and every project and we will continue to strive in always delivering the best possible service to our clients.
Our client was extremely happy with the service we provided and their operation was up and running in a matter of hours, providing continuity of business.
